Halichoeres cosmetus, or the adorned wrasse, is a species of salt water wrasse the Indian Ocean from South Africa north to Yemen, including Socotra and east to western Thailand.

Small crustaceans, copepods, amphipods, frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and other small meaty foods.

Origin and habitat
Halichoeres cosmetus is naturally found in the Indo-Pacific region, from the Red Sea and East Africa to the western Pacific, including Indonesia, Philippines, and northern Australia. They inhabit coral reefs at depths ranging from 1 to 30 meters.

Popular wrasse species. May eat small fish and invertebrates. Requires established tank with plenty of microfauna.
