Appearance
Small, mottled tan to brown filefish with a somewhat flattened body and rough, tuberculated skin texture. Notable for its ability to change coloration slightly and its small, venomous spine anterior to the dorsal fin.
Diet and feeding
Primarily feeds on Aiptasia anemones in captivity, though it will also accept small crustaceans, copepods, and quality frozen preparations. Offer varied small prey items 2-3 times daily. Most effective when introduced to established systems with established Aiptasia populations.
