Appearance
Small filefish with a distinctive dark head and colorful body displaying yellow, orange, and blue markings. The body is compressed laterally with a small, rounded snout and a characteristic venomous spine in front of the dorsal fin.
Diet and feeding
Omnivorous, feeding primarily on small crustaceans, zooplankton, and algae in the wild. In captivity, offer varied diet including frozen mysis shrimp, copepods, small prepared foods, and vegetable matter.
