Appearance

The Slender Grouper is a small grouper with an elongated, streamlined body and subtle coloration ranging from tan to light brown with faint vertical banding patterns. It features a relatively large mouth characteristic of the grouper family and blends into reef rubble and rocky habitats.

Diet and feeding

Feed small meaty foods including minced seafood, small crustaceans, and quality frozen preparations such as mysis shrimp and enriched brine shrimp. Offer 1–2 times daily in appropriate portion sizes.
