Appearance

Small, robust bass with a distinctive chalky white to cream coloration on the head and anterior body, transitioning to purple-brown posteriorly with bold vertical stripes. The body is stocky with a slightly compressed profile.

Diet and feeding

Feed a varied diet of small frozen foods including mysis shrimp, copepods, and small meaty preparations. Offer 1-2 times daily in small portions. Will readily accept quality frozen carnivore preparations suited to small fish.

Moderate - Requires some experience due to specific dietary water or tank requirements. Best suited for intermediate aquarists.
