Appearance
The Skunk Clownfish is a small, boldly marked damselfish with an orange-red body and a distinctive white/cream stripe running along the dorsal surface from the head to the base of the tail. The head and snout are darker orange-red, and the body tapers posteriorly. This species reaches approximately 3.9 inches in length and has the typical stocky, slightly compressed body shape of clownfish (genus Amphiprion).
Diet and feeding
In captivity, feed a varied omnivorous diet consisting of high-quality marine pellets, flaked foods, frozen mysis shrimp, and frozen copepods. Supplement regularly with small amounts of vegetable matter such as spirulina-based foods. Feed 2–3 times daily in appropriate portions.
Difficulty and care for the Skunk Clownfish
The Skunk Clownfish is an excellent choice for beginner aquarists. It is hardy, adapts well to captive conditions, and requires only moderate care with stable water parameters and a suitable host anemone (though not strictly required).

Indo-Pacific region, primarily found in the reefs of Indonesia, the Philippines, and surrounding tropical waters. Found in shallow reef environments at depths of 5–40 meters.
