Appearance

A small damselfish with bright blue coloration on the face, head, and anterior body, transitioning to yellow on the posterior body and tail. The body is compressed laterally with a small, blunt head and a forked tail fin. This striking two-tone blue-and-yellow pattern is distinctive and unmistakable among reef fish.

Diet and feeding

Feed high-quality small pellets, flaked foods, and frequent small portions of frozen preparations such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and copepods. In reef tanks, they will supplement with natural zooplankton and small crustaceans. Offer varied diet 2–3 times daily in small amounts.
