Appearance
Amphiprion perideraion is a small, stocky clownfish with a bright orange body and two white bands edged in black—one behind the head and one at the tail base. The dorsal fin is continuous and orange, with white and black markings. This species is immediately distinguished from congeners by its orange coloration and the precise pattern of white-and-black striping characteristic of Barrier Reef clownfish.
Diet and feeding
In captivity, feed high-quality marine flake or pellet foods supplemented with frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and small meaty foods. Occasionally offer vegetable matter. Feed twice daily in appropriate portions.
