Appearance
Chromis nitida is a small damselfish with bright blue coloration on the head and body, fading to yellow or orange on the lower body and tail. The dorsal fin is edged in yellow, and the fish displays a characteristic streamlined, slightly compressed body shape typical of reef chromis.
Diet and feeding
This is a planktivore that feeds primarily on small zooplankton and copepods in the wild. In captivity, offer high-quality flake foods, small frozen foods like copepods and mysis shrimp, and varied dried preparations designed for planktivorous fish. Feed 1–2 times daily in small portions.
