Appearance

Yellow body with vertical blue stripes on the sides and a distinctive large, sail-like dorsal fin edged in blue. The anal fin is similarly enlarged and striped, with a blue margin.

Diet and feeding

Primarily herbivorous; feed a varied diet of marine macroalgae, nori, and high-quality herbivore pellets. Supplement with occasional meaty foods like mysis shrimp. The species requires substantial vegetable matter to thrive in captivity.
