Appearance
Royal Basslet is a small, elongated serranid with deep purple to magenta coloration on the head and upper body, transitioning to yellow-orange on the lower body and tail. It displays a white or pale stripe along the dorsal midline and has a slightly protruding lower jaw.
Diet and feeding
Feed small frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, copepods, and fine-grain frozen preparations. Offer food in small portions 2–3 times daily. Some individuals may accept small pellets once acclimated. Live copepod cultures help trigger feeding response in shy specimens.

Moderate - Requires some experience due to specific dietary water or tank requirements. Best suited for intermediate aquarists.
