Appearance

A small, deep-dwelling basslet with brilliant golden-yellow coloration throughout the body and fins. The fish has an elongated, streamlined body typical of the Liopropoma genus, with a pointed snout and small terminal mouth adapted for feeding on small crustaceans.

Diet and feeding

Feed small frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, copepods, amphipods, and small prepared carnivore pellets. Multiple small feedings daily are preferred due to the species' deep-water origin and modest appetite.
