Appearance

Small, slender anthias with vibrant red to orange-red coloration on the body and fins. Males exhibit more intense coloring than females, with a characteristic lyretail fin shape and a slightly elevated dorsal profile.

Diet and feeding

Feed small meaty foods including frozen copepods, amphipods, mysis shrimp, and enriched brine shrimp. In captivity, they benefit from frequent small feedings of high-quality zooplankton substitutes to mimic their natural planktivorous feeding behavior.
