Appearance
A silvery disc-shaped fish with a laterally compressed body and yellow-gold coloration on the dorsal and anal fins. The body is bright silver with distinctive dark vertical bands, and the face often shows yellow markings around the eye and mouth.
Diet and feeding
Feed a varied diet of high-quality flake food, pellets, and frozen foods including brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and vegetable matter. They accept most prepared aquarium foods and benefit from regular feeding of quality omnivore formulations.

Moderate - Can adapt to brackish or marine conditions. Best suited for intermediate aquarists.
