Appearance
The Mauritian clownfish is a small damselfish with a bright orange body and white vertical bands on the head and body, with darker edging on fins. It closely resembles other orange clownfish species but has subtle color variations specific to its Mauritian population.
Diet and feeding
Feed high-quality marine flakes, small pellets, frozen mysis shrimp, and copepods. In captivity, most clownfish thrive without a host anemone but do better with one present.

Amphiprion mauritian is an excellent beginner clownfish with hardiness, peaceful temperament, and simple care requirements. It adapts well to captive conditions and thrives in established reef aquariums.
