Appearance

Small damselfish with dark brown to black body coloration and distinctive white or pale vertical bands across the face and gill covers. The margins of the dorsal and anal fins are lighter, contrasting with the dark body.

Diet and feeding

Feed a varied diet of high-quality marine flakes, small pellets, and frozen foods such as mysis shrimp and brine shrimp 1-2 times daily. Marginated damselfish will also graze on natural algae and biofilm in the aquarium.
