Appearance

Bright yellow head and anterior body with a distinctive black mask-like marking across the eyes; rear half transitions to dark brown or maroon. The body is compressed and disc-shaped with venomous dorsal spines.

Diet and feeding

Feed high-quality herbivorous preparations including nori, spirulina, and marine vegetable flakes. Supplement with blanched zucchini or spinach 3–4 times weekly. This species grazes constantly in nature and benefits from frequent small offerings.
