Appearance
Elongated, oval-shaped body, predominantly red with yellow bars running horizontally along flanks, distinctive white caudal (tail) stripe and conspicuous black markings on pectoral fins.
Diet and feeding
Marine invertebrates (e.g., polyps, bristle worms), small fishes (e.g., copepods, amphipods) and filamentous algae. In aquariums, may also feed on commercial marine fish foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely ground freeze-dried seafood.
