Appearance
The Harlequin Snake Eel displays a patterned body of dark brown or black with distinctive white or cream-colored bands and spots. Its elongated, eel-like body features a pointed snout and small eyes, with the characteristic congrid body shape.
Diet and feeding
Feed small live or frozen meaty foods such as small fish, shrimp, and other crustaceans. Offer food 2–3 times per week; these eels are opportunistic predators but do not require daily feeding in captivity.
