Appearance
A small damselfish with distinctive two-tone coloration: the anterior half of the body is bright blue or bluish-green, while the posterior half and tail are yellowish or golden-orange. The body is compressed and streamlined, typical of the Chromis genus, with rounded fins and a small terminal mouth.
Diet and feeding
Feed high-quality flake foods, small pellets, and frozen preparations such as mysis shrimp and copepods. Offer small portions 2–3 times daily. They will also graze on microalgae and filamentous algae in the aquarium.
Difficulty and care for the Half-and-Half Chromis
This is an easy-to-care-for damselfish suitable for beginners and established reef aquarists. It is hardy, adapts well to captive conditions, and tolerates a range of water parameters within standard reef norms.
