Appearance
A small, vibrantly colored dragonet with turquoise-blue to green body coloration and bright orange-red saddle markings and fin patterns. The body is elongated and somewhat compressed, with an underslung mouth adapted for picking food from the substrate.
Diet and feeding
In the aquarium, the Green Mandarinfish requires a constant supply of live copepods and amphipods, which it forages from the sand and rockwork. Frozen mysis shrimp and other small frozen foods may occasionally be accepted, but live microfauna is essential for long-term health.
