Appearance
Bartels' Dragonet is a small, ornate fish with a vibrant blue-green head and body covered in intricate reticulated patterns of blue, yellow, and orange. The pectoral fins are enlarged and fan-like, used for hovering near the substrate.
Diet and feeding
Feeds primarily on small crustaceans and copepods in the wild. In captivity, requires a steady supply of live or frozen small prey such as copepods, amphipods, mysis shrimp, and rotifers. Difficult to convert to prepared foods.
