Appearance
Small, laterally compressed body with a beige to olive-green background color covered in distinctive gold or yellow spots throughout the head and body. Possesses venomous spines on the dorsal and anal fins, a characteristic feature of rabbitfish.
Diet and feeding
Primarily grazes on algae, seaweed, and macroalgae. In captivity, provide high-quality dried seaweed sheets (nori), marine algae preparations, and quality herbivore pellets supplemented with fresh vegetable matter. Should be fed daily with multiple small portions.
