Appearance

Golden Spadefish have a distinctive oval, laterally compressed body with a bright yellow to golden coloration. They develop prominent dark vertical bars and exhibit an overall disc-like shape characteristic of the Ephippidae family.

Diet and feeding

Feed a varied diet of high-quality marine flakes, small pellets, and frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped meaty foods. Supplement with some vegetable matter. Feed 2-3 times daily in smaller portions.
