Appearance

A small clownfish with a distinctive dark brown to orange body coloration. It features white bands on the head and body, similar to other Amphiprion species, and has the characteristic rounded body shape typical of clownfish in the Pomacentridae family.

Diet and feeding

Feed a varied omnivorous diet including high-quality clownfish pellets, small frozen foods (mysis shrimp, brine shrimp), and occasional vegetable matter. Feed 1–2 times daily in amounts the fish can consume in a few minutes.

The Chagos Clownfish is hardy and beginner-friendly, tolerating moderate aquarium conditions. It thrives in reef environments with a host anemone but adapts well to captivity even without one.
