Appearance

Yellowish-tan dorsal surface with distinctive bright blue spots and a blue striped tail; ventral surface whitish. Flattened body typical of rays with a long venomous tail spine used defensively.

Diet and feeding

Feed small crustaceans, mollusks, and meaty foods such as frozen shrimp and squid. Offer food 2–3 times weekly once acclimated. Live prey encourages natural feeding behavior.
