Appearance
Bleeker's Hawkfish is a small, stocky fish reaching about 4 inches in length. It displays a distinctive reddish-orange coloration with white or pale vertical bars on the body and head. The fish has the characteristic hawkfish feature of prominent cirri (feathery filaments) above the eyes, and possesses a large mouth suited for hunting small prey.
Diet and feeding
Feed small meaty foods including mysis shrimp, small crustaceans, and occasionally finely chopped marine flesh. Offer food 2–3 times daily. This species is an ambush predator and will hunt small fish and mobile invertebrates in the aquarium.

Moderate - Requires some experience due to specific dietary water or tank requirements. Best suited for intermediate aquarists.

Origin and habitat
