#alkalinity

Alkalinity (also called dKH or KH) is the single most important reef-chemistry parameter to keep stable. Coral skeletons, coralline algae, and most ICP-detectable trace dynamics all hinge on alkalinity sitting in a tight 7.5 to 9.5 dKH band, drifting less than 0.5 dKH per day. Reef Trak logs every alkalinity test, plots the trend, flags drift, and ties each result to your dosing schedule so you can correlate a dose with what your tank actually did.
