Diet and feeding
Omnivorous scavenger; feeds on algae, detritus, small mollusks, and sponges. Provide varied frozen or dried foods (Mysis shrimp, spirulina) and allow natural grazing opportunities.
Origin and habitat
Indo-Pacific from the Red Sea and East Africa to the Great Barrier Reef and Polynesia.

• Minimum 75 gallon tank with excellent water stability and circulation • Temperature range 72–78°F; highly sensitive to pH and salinity swings • Feeds on detritus, algae, and biofilm; supplement with dried seaweed or frozen algae • Poor shipping tolerance and acclimation success rate; prone to rapid decline in captivity • Nocturnal scavenger; provide low-flow areas and ample hiding spots
