Appearance
Yellow Goatfish are elongated fish with a yellow to golden body, darker yellow dorsal region, and characteristic barbel-like sensory organs (the "goat whiskers") beneath their chin. Adults typically display a bicolor pattern with yellow on the sides and white-cream on the belly.
Diet and feeding
Feed small meaty foods including mysis shrimp, small crustaceans, and minced seafood. They will sift and forage along the substrate for copepods and small benthic invertebrates. Offer quality frozen foods 2–3 times daily, as they are active foragers with high metabolic needs.
