Appearance

The Yellow-Back Fairy Wrasse exhibits bright yellow coloration on the dorsal surface and upper body, contrasting with orange-red coloration on the face and anterior regions. The fish has an elongated, streamlined body typical of fairy wrasses, with a slightly pointed snout and continuous dorsal fin. Males display more vivid coloring than females, particularly during breeding displays.

Diet and feeding
