Origin and habitat
The Yaeyama Blenniidae (Blennius yayeyamensis) is naturally found in the Indo-Pacific region, particularly in the Ryukyu Islands of Japan, including the Yaeyama Islands for which it is named. This species typically inhabits shallow coral reefs within a depth range of 1 to 30 meters.
