Appearance

A large, robust unicornfish (tang) with a grayish to silvery body and distinctive white-bordered pectoral fins (giving it the "whitemargin" common name). Adults develop a prominent bony frontal protuberance and elongated snout typical of Naso species.

Diet and feeding

In captivity, feed a varied diet of high-quality marine flake, pellets, and frozen foods (mysis shrimp, brine shrimp) supplemented with vegetable matter, including nori and spirulina. They graze on algae in the aquarium and benefit from regular vegetable offerings.
