Appearance

Males display vibrant turquoise-blue body coloration with distinctive orange-yellow head and anterior body sections. The wrasse has an elongated body with pointed snout typical of Halichoeres species, and exhibits bold color patterning that intensifies during display.

Diet and feeding

Feed high-quality carnivore foods including mysis shrimp, small crustaceans, and specialized wrasse pellets. Offer 2–3 times daily in small amounts. Vrolik's Wrasses actively hunt small invertebrates and will pick at the substrate and rockwork for natural prey.
