Appearance

Small, elongated blenny with a tan to brown body and distinctive two sensory pores (holes) on the head above the eyes. Venomous fangs in the lower jaw give it a slightly intimidating appearance, though the venom poses minimal risk to humans.

Diet and feeding

Feeds on small crustaceans and zooplankton in the wild. In captivity, offer frozen mysis shrimp, frozen copepods, and high-quality frozen carnivore preparations 2–3 times daily. May eventually accept small pellets.
