Appearance

Twin-Spot Cardinalfish are small, rounded-bodied fish with a distinctive pattern of two large dark spots on each side of the body, one near the gill cover and one on the rear body. They display reddish to orange-red coloration with pale/white spots or stripes, and have large eyes characteristic of nocturnal cardinalfish.

Diet and feeding

Feed small live or frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and small crustaceans. They are nocturnal hunters and will readily consume appropriately-sized carnivorous diets in captivity.
