Appearance

Small, slender cardinalfish with pale red to orange coloration and thread-like pectoral fin rays that extend beyond the body. The eyes are notably large and dark, with a subtle barred pattern along the body.

Diet and feeding

Feed small meaty foods including copepods, amphipods, mysis shrimp, and fine marine flakes. In established reef aquaria with copepod populations, the fish will graze passively; captive-fed specimens benefit from 2–3 small daily feedings.
