Appearance

Small, stocky damselfish with bright yellow body coloration, dark blue or purple facial markings around the eye, and darker fins. Juveniles may show slightly different patterning than adults.

Diet and feeding

Omnivorous in the wild; feeds on small crustaceans, zooplankton, and algae. In captivity, provide high-quality flake or pellet foods supplemented with frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and vegetable matter such as spirulina.
