Appearance

The Starry Blenny displays a dark brown to olive body densely covered with white or pale spots and markings, resembling stars—hence the common name. It has a slightly elongated body with the characteristic blenny head shape and small, dark eyes.

Diet and feeding

In captivity, feed a varied diet of high-quality marine flakes, small pellets, frozen mysis shrimp, and occasional vegetable matter such as spirulina-based foods. Feed 1–2 times daily in portions the fish can consume in a few minutes.
