Appearance
A slender wrasse with a mottled greenish-brown body and reddish-orange coloration on the head and upper body. The species exhibits pronounced sexual dimorphism, with males displaying more vivid red and orange hues while females and juveniles are duller and more cryptic.
Diet and feeding
Feeds primarily on small crustaceans, zooplankton, and small benthic invertebrates in the wild. In captivity, provide a varied diet of small meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, copepods, amphipods, and quality flake or pellet foods. Feed 2-3 times daily.
