Appearance
A slender wrasse with deep red to scarlet coloration striped with white or pale vertical lines running the length of the body. Maximum length around 3.5 inches with a sleek, elongated profile typical of pin-stripe wrasses.
Diet and feeding
Feed small meaty foods including mysis shrimp, chopped krill, and copepods. Offer food 2–3 times daily in small portions. This species is an active micro-predator that hunts small crustaceans on the reef in the wild.
