Appearance

Compact, venomous scorpionfish with a distinctive sail-like dorsal fin and mottled tan, brown, and red coloration. Body is robust with venomous spines and a somewhat cryptic, benthic appearance.

Diet and feeding

Feed small live or frozen crustaceans (shrimp, copepods) and small fish pieces. May require live food initially but often accepts frozen after acclimation. Feed 1-2 times daily.
