Appearance

The Reticulated Boxfish has a distinctive cubic or hexagonal body shape with a yellow-green base coloration covered by a prominent reticulated (net-like) pattern of darker lines. Males are typically more vibrant than females, with some individuals displaying blue tints on the head.

Diet and feeding

Feed a varied diet including small crustaceans (copepods, amphipods), mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and quality sinking pellets. Include vegetable matter such as spirulina-enriched foods. Feed small portions 2–3 times daily to accommodate their slow feeding behavior.
