Appearance
Small, slender cardinalfish with a reddish-orange body and dark vertical bands running along the sides. The head is large and rounded, with a small mouth and large eye characteristic of the Apogonidae family. The dorsal fin appears slightly notched, separating the spiny and soft-rayed sections.
Diet and feeding
Feed small frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, frozen copepods, and small prepared marine foods. Offer food 2–3 times daily in small portions. Will gradually accept finely chopped fresh preparations.
