Appearance

Red Lionfish displays brilliant red and white banding across the body with elongated venomous dorsal spines that are prominently feathered. The pectoral fins are fan-like with intricate striping, and the body tapers toward the caudal fin.

Diet and feeding

Feed live or frozen small fish, crustaceans, and meaty items such as silversides and small feeder fish. Feed 1-2 times daily, adjusting portions to prevent overfeeding and maintain water quality in the aquarium.
