Appearance
Halichoeres iridis is a small wrasse displaying brilliant iridescent coloration, typically with vibrant blues, greens, and yellow hues that shift with light angle. Males are more intensely colored than females, with a characteristic rounded body shape typical of the genus. The dorsal fin is continuous and the caudal fin is rounded.
Diet and feeding
Feed small frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. Offer live copepods if available. Small meaty preparations suited to wrasse feeding behavior work well.
