Appearance

Vivid purple-blue body with a stockier, compressed profile typical of dottybacks. Rounded dorsal and anal fins, with fine-tipped pectoral fins. No distinctive spotting or patterns; coloration is uniformly intense purple with darker undertones.

Diet and feeding

Feeds on small crustaceans and meaty foods in the wild. In captivity, offer high-quality frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and small chopped seafood, supplemented with quality dry pellets. Feed twice daily.
