Appearance
Bodianus perditio is a moderately sized wrasse with a distinctive two-tone coloration: the anterior body and head are typically pink to reddish-orange, while the posterior body and tail are darker, ranging from brown to purplish. The species exhibits the characteristic elongated body shape and pointed snout typical of wrasses.
Diet and feeding
Feed high-quality carnivorous fare including mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, small crustaceans, and finely chopped seafood. Offer food 2–3 times daily in appropriate portions.

Moderately difficult for hobbyists. Requires stable water conditions, adequate space, and compatible tankmates; can be aggressive toward smaller fish or crustaceans, necessitating careful aquascaping and species selection.
