Appearance
The Philippine Butterflyfish is predominantly yellow to golden-yellow with white markings on the head and upper body. It displays the characteristic butterflyfish body shape—laterally compressed and oval—with the distinctive dark eye-bar and a dark spot near the tail. The dorsal and anal fins are yellow with darker edging.
Diet and feeding
In captivity, offer a varied diet of high-quality marine flakes, frozen mysis shrimp, small frozen foods, and occasional live brine shrimp. Feed multiple small portions daily to replicate natural grazing behavior.
