Peters' Toby is a small, stocky pufferfish with a rounded body and a distinctive pattern of dark brown or black coloration with lighter spots and reticulations. The body is relatively uniform in shape with a blunt snout and small mouth characteristic of the genus Canthigaster.

Diet and feeding

Feed a varied diet of small meaty foods including brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, copepods, and finely chopped seafood. Supplement with algae-based foods and quality flake or pellet formulations designed for pufferfish. Feed 1-2 times daily.
